Accredited Short Courses

Please Note: These are online courses delivered via an online learning platform and as such has technology requirements and support limitations. You are responsible for and must have access to these requirements to do this course. We strongly recommend if you do not have access to the technology requirements, are unsure of or inexperienced with using a web based platform such as those used in online learning environments you should not enrol in this course. This course has a specified duration as noted in the course information and fees are payable at enrolment. You can view our online service standards here.

Technical requirements

To complete this course you will require access to a computer that has a recent operating system (eg: Windows 10 or Big Sur). In addition you will need access to the internet and Google Chrome web browser. YOU CANNOT COMPLETE THIS COURSE ON A MOBILE PHONE. This course also requires you to have good to excellent digital capability with experience using web-browsers and navigating within web-based platforms as this course is solely delivered in an on-line format. You will enrol on-line and access a web based learning platform through our student portal to undertake the course which will be communicated to you via email upon successful enrolment.

Support with an experienced Trainer is available via email should you need help with the course work or assessment requirements. Unfortunately, general IT support and troubleshooting is not part of our course support and if needed will be your responsibility to source.

Food Handling INV


This course is a nationally accredited unit - SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
Anyone who directly handles food or food contact surfaces, including chefs, kitchen hands, caterers, food and beverage attendants should complete this course.

Food Safety Supervision INV


This course is the nationally accredited units - SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety and SITXFSA002 Participate in safe food handling practices 
The course is suitable for designated food safety supervisors (as required by state regulations) within organisations who have overall responsibilities for the implementation of the Food Safety Plan. This includes cooks, chefs, caterers, kitchen hands and food and beverage attendants.

Responsible Service of Alcohol INV


This course is a nationally accredited unit - SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol

This course equips individuals to serve alcohol responsibly. Certification requirements apply at a state and territory level to individuals involved in the sale, service and promotion of alcohol in licenced premises. Certification in some States relies on the achievement of SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol.

This course covers Victorian specific requirements and is approved by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR), which allows those who complete the course to work in licensed venues in Victoria.

Please note: On 1 January 2022, the VCGLR became the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC). The VGCCC will continue to regulate liquor from 1 January 2022 until liquor regulation is transferred to the Department of Justice and Community Services (DJCS) later in the year.
