Accredited Short Courses
Anyone who directly handles food or food contact surfaces, including chefs, kitchen hands, caterers, food and beverage attendants should complete this course.
Food Safety Level 2
FS Level 2
This course is for food handling personnel or food safety supervisors working in tourism, hospitality and catering organisations. This unit alone may not meet the food safety supervisor legislative requirements of all states as requirements may differ across borders.
Food Safety Supervision
The course is suitable for designated food safety supervisors (as required by state regulations) within organisations who have overall responsibilities for the implementation of the Food Safety Plan. This includes cooks, chefs, caterers, kitchen hands and food and beverage attendants.
Infection Control Skill Set (Food Handling)FFS
This short course provides hospitality staff with the skills and knowledge to identify and manage the ongoing risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections. Thecourse is recommended for any individual working in a hospitality business or business where food handling occurs such as food delivery services, mobile food trucks, aged care facilities, school and sporting club canteens, galleries and conference venues, and cookery classes.
Responsible Service of Alcohol
PLEASE NOTE: AVTES offices are closed until 14th January 2021. All assessments will occur upon our return.This course is a nationally accredited unit - SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol
This course covers Victorian specific requirements and is approved by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR), which allows those who complete the course to work in licensed venues in Victoria.
