AVTES is contracted by the Australian Government to deliver FREE qualifications under the Productivity Places Program.

The Initiative
As part of its Skilling Australia for the future initiative, the government recognises the importance of nationally endorsed training in assisting job seekers to acquire skills and gain lasting employment and assisting existing workers to update or upgrade their skills. The Government has announced the release of an additional 56,000 places for job seekers in Australia as part of the Productivity Places Program.

The government is now offering Certificate II – Certificate IV level qualifications in skill shortage areas to jobseekers in Victoria for FREE, with absolutely no additional or hidden costs for the student.

Eligibility
To be eligible for a job seeker training place, you need to be:

• Currently looking for work.
• To be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of Australia and be over the age of 15.
• To be assessed by your employment service provider or training organisation as having capacity to benefit from the training.

• Certificate IV in Retail Management
• Certificate II in Hospitality Operations
• Certificate III in Hospitality Operations
• Certificate IV in Hospitality Supervision
