The Victorian Government has committed $52 million to Skills for Growth: the Workforce Development Program to assist small and medium sized businesses with their skills and training needs.

How the Program Works
1. You can register to participate in the Skills for Growth: Workforce Development Program at www.business.vic.gov.au/skillsforgrowth and select AVTES as your service provider.
2. AVTES will make contact with your business within two working days after your online registration has been completed.
3. AVTES specialists will meet with you at your business to understand your business goals and objectives.
4. We will conduct a skills analysis of your current workforce, then conduct a skills needs assessment of your workforce and identify opportunities for training and development.
5. We will develop a training program in consultation with you to identify appropriate training for your business needs.
6. You will be provided with a Workforce Action and Training Plan. In some cases eligible employees may qualify for a government subsidised training place as part of the Victorian Training Guarantee.
7. We will identify training opportunities available to you and consider appropriate delivery methods for your workforce.
8. We will assist you to find appropriate training providers and facilitate the purchase of and placement into agreed training.
9. We will conduct a follow up review with you to identify business outcomes and improvements and undertake further skills assessments where necessary.
10. At the conclusion of the review you will be provided with a Skills for Growth Report.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this FREE assistance your business must:
- Be Victorian based
- Employ between 1 and 200 staff
- Have been operating for at least 12 months
- Be financially viable
