AVTES Awards 2011

The AVTES Awards recognise and reward excellence in training and the important contribution made by apprentices, trainees, students, and employers in building a productive and rewarding training culture.  They are held annually and integrate with the Victorian Training Awards requirements, allowing AVTES nominees to also nominate for the state awards if they wish to do so.

Each year AVTES rewards our most dedicated and high achieving students and employers through the AVTES Awards.  They are a fantastic opportunity for students to be recognised for their efforts, and enhance their career prospects.  And for employers they are a fantastic way to share success with your employees.

We are now inviting nominations in the following categories;

  • Apprentice of the Year
  • Trainee of the Year
  • Student of the Year

Employer Categories

  • Employer of the Year

Judging
Each eligible nomination will be scored by the Planning & Development Committee Chair, one Director and one Trainer Assessor to ensure fairness.  Points will be awarded according to how well the entrant has met the criteria, and each criteria will be scored equally.  The three scores from the judges will then be averaged to determine a final score.

The winner of each category will be presented with a framed AVTES certificate and the stated prize.  Winners of each student category will receive an Apple ipod nano and The Employer of the Year will receive a trophy.

Public Relations
Nominees, finalists and/or winners may be published on the AVTES website, in the AVTES newsletter, and/or in local media.  All nominees are required to sign a consent statement as included in the nomination form regarding this.
